For questions or problems with VidBros, email us with the details below. Response times vary depending on the issue and the volume of requests.

Do not send passwords, verification codes, payment details, or private browsing records. Remove private information and access tokens from links before sharing them. Emailing support shares your email address, message, and any attachments with the developer; see our Privacy Policy.

Using the Browser

Enter a web address or search term in the bottom address bar and tap Go. Addresses without a scheme use HTTPS by default. Google is the default search engine for new installations; you can choose Bing or DuckDuckGo in Settings. Updating the App keeps your saved search engine preference. Back moves through page history and then returns to the start page. Use the address bar to reload and the page menu to copy or share a link.

QR Codes

Choose Scan QR code from More actions to use the camera or choose an image. Recognized content is submitted immediately: web addresses open, ordinary text is searched, and unsupported link types are rejected. Check the source of a QR code before scanning it. If camera access is denied, you can change the permission in the iOS Settings app or select an existing QR image instead.

Tabs, Bookmarks, and History

Tap the tab count to switch or add tabs. Touch and hold a tab, or swipe right, to assign it to a group; use the group menu to save its pages. Restore saved groups from Library or the start page. Normal tabs restore after relaunch, and recently closed normal tabs can be reopened from Tabs. In Library, manage bookmarks, folders, saved groups, and history.

To save all open webpages in normal mode, choose “Save as page group” in Tabs. To edit a saved group, open Library → Groups, swipe left on the group, and choose Edit. Use the bottom Edit button in the group editor to reorder its pages, then tap Save.

Private Browsing

Private tabs use a separate, temporary website store and are not added to browsing history or restored after relaunch. You cannot save bookmarks from private browsing. Ending the private session clears its tabs and temporary website store. Private browsing does not make you anonymous to websites or network providers.

To end the session, tap End in the private-browsing banner or choose End private session in Tabs. Switching to normal browsing or putting the App in the background does not end the private session, close private tabs, or clear their temporary data.

Browsing Data

Normal tabs, bookmarks, saved groups, history, settings, and eligible Reader positions are stored locally. WebKit also stores cookies, cache, and other website data. The App does not sync your browsing library to other devices.

Open Settings → Clear browsing data to select categories: history, cookies and website data, cache, or normal tabs. This applies to normal browsing; clear private data by ending the private session. Clearing history also removes saved Reader positions, while Reader appearance and automatic website choices remain. Clearing either history or normal tabs also removes the recently closed tabs list; those tabs can no longer be reopened from that list. Clearing cookies and website data may sign you out of websites. Bookmarks and saved page groups are kept and can be deleted separately in Library.

History keeps up to 500 entries, and the recently closed tabs list keeps up to 20 entries. Older entries are removed as new ones exceed these limits. Turning off Record normal browsing history in Settings stops new history entries but does not erase existing ones. Uninstalling the App removes its local browsing library; it is excluded from device backups, so do not use reinstallation as a routine troubleshooting step.

Browser Lock

Enable Lock browser in Settings to protect access with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. If authentication fails, try again using an available device authentication method. The developer cannot unlock the App remotely. The lock preference may remain in the device Keychain after reinstalling; turn off Lock browser before uninstalling if you want to reset that preference.

Page Translation

Open a webpage, then choose More actions → Translate page and select a language. To undo the translation, choose Show original page in the same submenu. If translation fails, check that the selected language is supported and try again. The feature translates webpage text; text embedded in images may remain unchanged.

Translation is available for supported languages and may require downloading language resources from Apple. An internet connection may be needed for these downloads.

Reader

Readable articles may show a book button at the bottom right of the webpage. You can also choose Reader from More actions. Reader displays extracted text without saving a copy of the article. Use Reading appearance to adjust text and background or enable automatic opening for the current website. A Next chapter button appears only when the page has a clear same-site chapter link.

In normal browsing, Reader saves appearance settings and websites you choose for automatic opening. It saves a paragraph position for up to 200 URLs only while history recording is enabled. Turning history recording off does not erase earlier positions, but Reader does not use them while recording is off. Deleting a history entry removes that URL's position; clearing history removes all positions. Private browsing does not read or save reading positions or save Reader setting changes.

Website Loading Issues

Check your connection and address, then reload or try the page in a new tab. Insecure HTTP, invalid certificates, or website compatibility can prevent loading. The App does not bypass certificate checks. Inactive pages may reload after a memory warning.

Blocked Websites and Searches

The App automatically blocks a limited set of explicit search terms and known adult websites, and applies safe-search settings to supported search providers. These rules may explain why a page or search does not open. They cannot identify every unsafe page, image, or video. If you believe a website is blocked incorrectly, contact support with its address only if it is safe to share.

Website Features

WebKit supports file uploads, standard website dialogs, sharing, and new windows. A website can receive a file you choose or capture for upload. The app's WebKit container does not request or authorize live website access to the device's camera or microphone. You can still choose to take a photo or record a video for a website upload using the system picker. You can manage the App's camera and microphone permissions in iOS Settings. Website motion and orientation access and downloads are not supported.
